One of the main reasons why Fulton's economy remains stable is due to its many tourist attractions, like the National Churchill Museum on the Westminster College campus.
The museum is a tribute to Winston Churchill and is full of paintings, sculptures, documents, and many other artifacts that honor the life and work of the man who gave his infamous 'Iron Curtain" speech on the Westminster campus.
Fulton City Administrator Bill Johnson said attractions like the National Churchill Museum are what keep people from all over the country coming back to the city. He said, "The tourist attractions that Fulton have are one of a kind in the nation. I think we're very fortunate. If people want to see the Churchill Museum they'll come to Fulton, Missouri no matter where they live".
“Leave the past to history especially as I propose to write that history myself.”
