Join us at 2pm on Sunday, August 20 when Sandra L. and Monroe E. Trout Director and Chief Curator Timothy Riley will discuss Winston Churchill's curiosity about the existence of life on other planets and Sir Christopher Wren's early career as an astronomer. The illustrated talk will take place in Wren's beautiful St. Mary the Virgin Aldermanbury and will include a viewing of Churchill's essay "Are We Alone in the Universe?" from the Museum's archives. A recital "Music of the Spheres" by David Sinden will be performed on the Mander Organ immediately following the gallery talk. The event is free with Museum admission and is scheduled in anticipation of the total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21.
