The National Churchill Museum on the campus of Westminster College will hold a public open house from 4:00 p.m.6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, to introduce its two new staff members and give visitors the opportunity to enjoy the exhibits.
Amy Cantone, the new Curator/Archivist, and Collin Shaw, Marketing Specialist, will welcome and visit with those in attendance.
Light refreshments will be served and visitors will have the opportunity to view the special traveling Smithsonian exhibit, “Mail Call,” making a stop at the Museum on its 15-city national tour as well enjoying the existing permanent exhibits at the Museum.
“Mail Call” explores the fascinating story of military mail and communication from the American Revolution to the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Information displays from local cultural sights will also be on hand for viewing.
“Leave the past to history especially as I propose to write that history myself.”
